Introduction:
DELO ML 5298 is a seal threaded pipe thread adhesive, all gaps sealed, screw lock, thread lock, light yellow color, good solvent resistance.
- DELO ML allows high-temperature resistance, curing quickly under anaerobic conditions when contact with metal ions;
- Ingredients: one component adhesive, derived from the modified methacrylate ester, non-solvent;
- Compliant with RoHS directive 2015/863/EU.
Applications:
- Sealing metal surfaces, tubeless tire rims for motorbike or car, seal solvent pipeline thread,…;
- High viscosity, help to run-resistant;
- Low strength to easy to remove adhesive;
- Range of temperature to use: 600C ~ 1800C, (Depended to the certain application may be other limited);
- The surface to bond must be clean, no dust, grease as well as other contaminations, use DELOTHEN cleaner to best bonding.
- To acceleration curing speed, it is possible to heat addition or use DELO-QUICK.
Curing:
- Anaerobic curing at room temperature, under metal surface catalyst, initial curing after several minutes and finally cured within 24h;

Technical data:
- Color: blue, prefer clearance: 0.05 ~ 0.1 transperant up to 0.4 mm if heat addition or be activated;
- The gap distance when applying heat or condensative activator: up to 0.3~0.4 mm;
- Density: 1.1 g/cm3;
- Viscosity: pasty;
- Curing time until initial strength: at 23oC, anaerobic:
+) on zinc phosphated screw: 5~10 min;
+) on V2A steel screw: 5~15 min;
- Curing time until final strength: 24h;
- Off-toque:
+) without M(on): 14 Nm;
+) with M (on) =46 Nm: 50 Nm;
- Compression shear strength: 15 MPa;
- Compression shear strength after 1 hour cured: ~12 MPa;
- Tensile shear strength St/St: ~ 3 MPa;
- Chemical resistant: very good;
- Storage life: 12 months, at room temperature (max. 25oC), with unopened original cartridge up to 600 ml.
