The HAST-1000X, HAST-6000X and HAST-9000X pressurized humidity test systems, offer a fast and cost effective alternative to conventional Damp Heat 85/85 temperature and humidity testing for plastic encapsulated integrated circuits and other microelectronic devices. Technology leaders in the semiconductor industry has calculated that HAST testing is 10-40 times faster than conventional testing methods. This highly accelerated testing leads to faster characterization, evaluation and qualification of increasingly complex microelectronic products.

1.FEATURES:
Dual Vessel Design – Steam Generator and Chamber: Vessel Newly HAST systems incorporate a dual vessel system design with a patented circumference heating system, which provides uniform temperature and humidity control (+/- 2°C, +/- 5% RH) and eliminates condensation from forming on devices under test. This ensures reliable and repeatable test data.
4 ATM Systems:
All our HAST systems are ASME rated to 4 ATM’s allowing high temperature testing at 85% relative humidity. Maximum temperature at 85%RH is 150°C. Many characterization processes require high temperature HAST testing which can be achieved.
Touch Screen Controller – with built in data recorder
Advanced: This mode offers multi-step programming of temperature, humidity, test time, ramp-up, power supply cycling and ramp-down. This mode also offers functions for auto start power supply verification, calibration and PID value adjustments. Data saving cycle – 1 second. Hard disk CF Memory.
The Hast systems utilize a touch screen computer system for simple controlling of all chamber parameters and power supplies. Two programming modes are available.
A chart display of test conditions is available on the computer display. Data logging of all test parameter-sand up to four power supplies can be directed to the standard USB port or a LAN-linked server for storage or transfer to remote PC.
HAST, Autoclave, 85/85 Testing (Damp Heat Testing)
All HAST Systems are capable of performing autoclave test process as well as HAST testing.
At the start of testing, the humidifying water needed for the test is automatically taken from a water tank.
An 85/85 option is available which expands the process capabilities to include non-pressurized humidity testing. This is recommended when correlation studies between HAST testing and 85/85 testing are to be performed.
N2 Purging Option (Ramp-Down)
This option will allow N2 purging into the system after each test. This will decrease the ramp down time of the system hence preventing ‘baking effect’ on the test device
N2 Purging Option (Ramp-Up)
This option will allow N2 purging into the system before the start of each test. This will clear out the air in the system to prevent vapors build-up on the test device during ramp up.
