Installation of x-ray machine to detect defects in die-casting products in Hanoi
Recently, engineers of HUST Vietnam have completed the installation and training of the X-ray machine for non-destructive testing of aluminum and steel castings, model XE-L HE manufactured by Gilardoni - Italy.
XE-L HE is equipped with a high voltage source of up to 450kV, allowing penetration of aluminum samples of about 230mm and steel samples of about 60mm.
The machine is equipped with standard software to 2D detect pores, cracks, ... inside the sample without destroying the sample.
