HUST VN handovered Universal Hardness Tester Qness 250 M EVO

Recently, HUST Vietnam delivered, installed and instructed on the use of the Universal Hardness Tester, model Qness 250 M EVO manufactured by QATM. The customer is a big company in Dong Nai.

This customer has been using hardness testers from 3 different suppliers (including 1 Vickers hardness tester Qness 30 CHD MASTER also manufactured by QATM). However, 1 machine was broken and could not be repaired. The customer requested a quick replacement solution with a new machine that could measure multiple methods Rockwell, Brinell and Vickers. The machine is capable of measuring large samples up to 300mm in diameter, but also has a manual CHD measurement function. And the Qness 250M EVO is the perfect solution for the customer.

Qness 250 M EVO is a versatile, multi-purpose machine with a force range from 1 to 250kgf. The machine can measure hardness by the following methods:

  • Brinell according to DIN EN ISO 6506, ASTM E-10: từ HBW1/1 đến HBW10/250
  • Vicker according to DIN EN ISO 6507, ASTM E-384, ASTM E92: từ HV1 đến HV100
  • Rockwell according to DIN EN ISO 6508, ASTM E-18: HRA - HRV; HR15-N/T/W/X/Y; HR30-N/T/W/X/Y; HR45-N/T/W/X/Y

The machine has a very large sample table of 584 x 450 mm (and can be made wider on request), with no limit on sample weight, so it is suitable for customer requirements of cylindrical samples with diameters up to 300 mm. In addition, the machine is also equipped with many different sample holders, with a manual XY moving table for multi-point measurement applications to calculate the case hardening depth - CHD.

When measuring CHD, moving to the required measurement positions on the sample surface is done manually using the XY sample table (with digital micrometer), the CHD value is interpolated from the graph:
