HUST Vietnam Delivers Benchtop X-ray Fluorescence Spectrometer
In early September 2025, HUST Vietnam completed the installation and delivery of the Benchtop X-ray Fluorescence Spectrometer - ScopeX 660 from LANScientific (China) to a customer in Hai Duong.
ScopeX 660 is an elemental analysis device using the X-ray fluorescence (XRF) method, allowing for fast, accurate, non-destructive analysis of samples. The device is widely used in fields such as metals, electronics, materials, environment and product quality control.
In particular, ScopeX 660 is integrated with specialized software capable of testing and evaluating according to international standards on the restriction of hazardous substances - RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances), specifically including:
- RoHS 1 (2002/95/EC): testing 7 toxic substances (Pb, Hg, Cd, Cr, Br, Cl, Sb).
- RoHS 2 (2011/65/EU): expands the scope of application to most electrical and electronic devices.
Therefore, ScopeX 660 helps businesses control input materials, evaluate compliance with environmental regulations, and meet export requirements to European, US and Japanese markets.
